Description

Join QTC’s Technology & Data team as a Data Engineer and play a pivotal role in delivering our Unified Data Program (UDP), a cornerstone of our data transformation strategy. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of data at QTC by consolidating our data lifecycle into a unified platform that supports trusted data assets, advanced analytics, AI capabilities, and secure data sharing.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Drive the success of QTC’s Unified Data Program by consolidating data assets and decommissioning legacy systems.
  • Design and implement data collection, warehousing, ETL processes, and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand and model data requirements for optimal provisioning and consumption.
  • Develop and maintain solutions using Azure Databricks and Azure DevOps.
  • Build and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide data engineering support across BAU and project-based initiatives.
 
 
About You
You’re a proactive and technically skilled data engineer with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality outcomes. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring a strong sense of integrity, creativity, and initiative to your work.
 
 
Skills & Experience
 
Essential:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in data engineering, including 3+ years with Azure Databricks and DevOps.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Proven experience in scalable data warehouse and analytics solution design.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
 
Desirable:
 
  • Experience with financial markets data and large-scale data transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
 
 
Qualifications
 
Essential:
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics.
  • Azure Databricks certifications.
 
Desirable:
Certifications in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Python, or PySpark.
